KLM flies to Croatia again after 22 years
A plane of the Dutch airline KLM landed at Zagreb Airport on Monday, marking reintroduction of flights connecting Amsterdam and the Croatian capital after 22 years.
Passengers aboard the flight were welcomed by Croatian Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin, Dutch Ambassador Stella Ronner Grubacic, and KLM executives, Welmer Blom, Vicepresident of KLM / Air France for commercial operations in Europe, and Vincent Kas, Director general of KLM / Air France for the Alps - Southeast Europe region.
The Netherlands is an important tourist market for Croatia, with 320,000 Dutch arrivals annually, said Lorencin.
He relayed the KLM management's decision to operate the Amsterdam - Zagreb service throughout the year instead of only during the summer as previously announced.
