Croatia Airlines and Singapore Airlines are beginning to cooperate in passenger transport by sharing their flight designator codes, the two companies announced on Monday.

Under a codeshare agreement between the two air carriers, Singapore Airlines will add its SQ designator to Croatia Airlines flights from London and Copenhagen to Zagreb, while Croatia Airlines' OU code will be added to Singapore Airlines flights between Singapore and London and between Singapore and Copenhagen.

Lee Wen Fen, Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, said: "This partnership will improve connectivity between Singapore and Croatia, which is growing in popularity as a leisure and business destination. It reflects our commitment to offer our customers seamless connections and greater flexibility when planning their travel itineraries."

Croatia Airlines CEO Kresimir Kucko said that this would increase the availability of Croatia Airlines services on the Asian market. "I'm confident that our joint flights will create a new quality of service to the satisfaction of passengers on both continents," Kucko said.

Singapore Airlines has a fleet of more than 100 aircraft flying to 60 destinations in 33 countries. Croatia Airlines, with a fleet of 12 aircraft, connects Croatia with 30 destinations in 18 European countries.
