Norwegian Air introducing direct Spain-Dubrovnik flights

The second largest Scandinavian airline, Norwegian Air Shuttle, is introducing direct flights from Spain to Dubrovnik, which is expected to raise the number of Spanish tourists in Croatia.

Because of the growing number of passengers between Croatia and Spain, the low - tariff Norwegian Air, Croatia Airlines, and Spain's Iberia and Vueling will have 1,000 flights in 2016.

Norwegian Air will fly Madrid-Dubrovnik twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, from the end of March to the end of October.

A Barcelona - Dubrovnik line will operate from June through October.

One - way tickets are already on sale at the promotional price of EUR 36.80.

A total of 188,866 Spaniards visited Croatia in 2014, up 18.3% on the year, according to Croatia's National Tourist Board.

Last year, Norwegian Air Shuttle flew 24 million passengers, 3 million more than in 2013.
