An agreement to provide HRK 8.5 million for the elaboration of a study on a system of road, railway, sea and air transport routes in Split was signed on Friday.

Commenting on the study, Croatian Transport and Infrastructure Minister Bozidar Kalmeta said that it would be the first study of this kind to incorporate development strategies for road, railway, sea and air transport.

In this context he stressed the importance of Split as the second largest city in Croatia and one of the biggest ports in the Mediterranean.

Tenders for the elaboration of the study will be invited soon, and the document should be completed in one year, Kalmeta said. (Hina)
