Parliament Endorses Bill on Loan Collateral for Rijeka Ring Road

The Croatian parliament on Wednesday endorsed the final bill on the ratification of a collateral agreement between Croatia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the construction of a ring road around the northern Adriatic city of Rijeka.

"Continuing works on the Rijeka ring road will require EUR 85 million, of which EUR 45 million will be secured by the Croatian Roads company, and EUR 40 million from the EBRD in the form of a loan," State Secretary at the Transport Ministry Zdravko Livaković said on behalf of the Government.

The parliament also adopted without debate the final bill on the ratification of a Croatia-Turkey agreement on social insurance.
