Jadrolinija registers record high number of passengers

Jadrolinija, Croatia's leading shipping company, presented an award to its 10 millionth passenger this season on Friday, and the ceremony marking for the first time this success of the company was held in the port of Valbiska on the island of Krk.

Jadrolinija for the first time managed to reach the figure of more than 10 million passengers using its services in a year.

Last year, a total of 9,989,671 passengers were transported by Jadrolinija vessels.

The company's board manager Alan Klanac said that a record high turnover made this year was achieved thanks to the modernisation of the Jadrolinija fleet and the optimisation of  its sailing schedule.

The millionth passenger was Marko Letic from the island of Losinj who is an ambulance driver and uses Jadrolinija services on a regular basis.
