Cargo transhipment increases in Croatian seaports

Cargo reloading in Croatian seaports and inland water ports increased 7.8 percent to 7.5 million tonnes of cargo in the first half of 2008 in comparison to the same period in 2007, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported on Friday.

Statistics show that cargo transhipment rose in seaports, while inland water ports registered a drop of 35.6 percent to 647,000 tonnes.

Cargo reloading in seaports increased 15.4 percent to 6.7 million tonnes as against the first six months of 2007.

Reloading at other sites rose two percent to 150,000 tonnes.
