Minister Komadina met EBRD director for Croatia

Croatian Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, ZLATKO KOMADINA, and his associates met with the Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Croatia, Zsuzsanna Hargitai, in Zagreb on Monday to discuss transport and seaport infrastructure projects that would be financially supported by EBRD loans.

The focus was on funding for the modernisation of Croatian Rail's (HZ) rolling stock and possibly the company's infrastructure as well, according a statement from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure.

Hargitai said that the EBRD was ready to financially support the construction of berths in the port of Split that would be able to receive cruisers and foreign ships.

The EBRD is currently financing the construction of a passenger terminal in the port of Sibenik, the integration of commerce and transport in the port of Ploce, and the construction of motorways along the pan-European transport corridor Vc and the ringroad around Rijeka.
