Vukovar Port Authority bans navigation on the Danube

The Vukovar Port Authority on Friday decided to ban navigation on the Danube, the port's head, Ivan Barovic, told Hina.

The ban is to remain in force until the situation on the river normalises, which is expected to happen on Monday, Barovic said.

At 2 pm today, the water level reached 654 centimetres. The emergency flood measures were introduced on Thursday at 7 pm, when the water level exceeded 630 centimetres.
