HAC: Chance for Domestic Companies to Build Objects and Overpass along Corridor 5C

The Business association consisting of Osijek Koteks and partners will build objects along the motorway route Đakovo-Sredanci, while the overpass on that route will be constructed by the company Osijek Koteks itself. This was reported by the company Hrvatske autoceste (HAC).

After organizing a public tender for the objects along the routes Beli Manastir-Osijek-Svilaj-Ploče and Đakovo-Sredanci, the offers handed in by the above mentioned company and association were considered to be the most favorable.

The process of signing the contracts between HAC and the selected contractors is currently ongoing. After the signing, the contractors will immediately start with the construction activities.

The public tenders for the objects received four offers. The chosen Business association consists of the companies Osijek Koteks, Hidroelektra Niskogradnja, Ingra, Viadukt and Zagorje Tehnobeton. The value of the offer is HRK 107, 71 million (VAT excl.).

The public tender organized for the construction of the overpass along the same route received also four offers, and the Koteks offer was considered to be the best, with a  value mounting up to HRK 104,88 million (VAT excl.) and a finalization date set for the end of April 2007.

During the year 2005, were negotiated and initiated the construction activities regarding the most important object on the route – an overpass surmounting the railway road Zagreb – Vinkovci. The construction works are being performed by the company Đuro Đaković Montaža.

The time frame for the construction of the whole route, including all objects is set for September 2007.

It is the Government's plan, for the period 2005-2008, to build along the 5C Corridor the route Osijek-Đakovo and Đakovo-Sredanci. During the same period it is planned to prepare construction activities along the border area Hungary-Beli Manastri, Beli-Manastir-Osijek, Sredanci- border of Bosnia and Herzegovina and border of Bosnia and Herzegovina –Ploče.

Public tenders for remaining construction work (motorway route, parallel roads…) are in the process of being prepared. (Hina)
