The consultant for drawing up an electronic toll collection study will be selected in early July, the Croatian Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure said on Monday after opening bids submitted by groups of consultants interested in the job -- Ernst & Young Savjetovanje Hrvatska and Ernst & Young GmbH from Germany and Spain's IDOM Consulting.
Croatia is modernising and restructuring the road sector and is now developing electronic toll collection, which does not require vehicles to stop.
The Ernst & Young group of bidders submitted an offer valued at EUR 1.1 million, while the Spanish group's offer is estimated at EUR 875,500, the ministry said.
The selection procedure will be carried out with the consent of the World Bank and in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) evaluation procedure.
