The first plane of the Scandinavian low-cost airline Norwegian landed at Zagreb Airport on Friday, introducing new Copenhagen-Zagreb-Copenhagen flights which will operate on Mondays and Fridays, airport officials said.
Norwegian's marketing director for Denmark, Johan Bisgaard Larsen, said he was pleased with the cooperation and agreements with Zagreb Airport, whose director Tonci Peovic said the flights to Copenhagen would bring Zagreb and Croatia even closer to north Europe.
Peovic voiced hope that flights to Oslo would be introduced soon as well.
Norwegian is the second largest low-cost airline in Scandinavia and was the fourth biggest one in Europe last year, with more than 10.7 million passengers.
