Croatian Agency for the Post and Electronic Communications (HAKOM) accepted the new prices of postal services and approved the new rates of the reserved postal services, announced today by the Croatian Post (HP).
Under the new price list of HP on the March 8 2010, the sending of the letters up to 50 grams of mass inside the Croatia will cost 3.10 HRK.
New price for the priority letters, parcels and fastest category, from March 15 will amount up to 4.60 HRK.
HP explains that the cost of sending parcels changed due to the changes to the Law on VAT, and that this exemption from payment of VAT in 2010. increased operating costs that will amount to the first estimates about 85 million HRK.
HP also recalls that the Law on Postal Services, other postal service providers may perform a service to transfer reserved shipments weight up to 50 grams, due to the condition that their price is 2.5 times higher than the cost of priority shipments of the HP.
