French sport aircraft crashes at Dubrovnik airport, none injured

A French MX-7 sport aircraft crashed on landing at Dubrovnik airport shortly before noon on Sunday, but none of the three French nationals aboard were injured, the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure said.

The Maule four seater broke the left wheel as it touched down, damaging its propeller on impact. On board the plane were a pilot and two passengers, who were all unscathed.

The aircraft was towed into a hangar and the airport was reopened to traffic an hour after the crash. An investigation follows.
