Highway sections in Croatia that have already been constructed will not be available for franchising to a private company, the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure said in a statement on Tuesday.
The ministry recalled that Minister Bozidar Kalmeta said on 20 March that following a thorough analysis the ministry decided that highway sections in Croatia that had already been constructed would not be available for franchising to a private company.
Highway franchising was one of the ideas presented to the Economic Council as part of anti-recession measures.
