After discovering a Cessna plane wreck on the northern slopes of Mount Velebit on Tuesday morning, Croatian rescue teams also found body parts which are believed to belong to the plane's crew members, Zadar police officials confirmed.
Members of special police forces of the central Croatian Lika-Senj County at 11.15 am discovered the tail and seats of the Cessna plane in a 100 metre deep karst valley at some 1,250 metres above sea level.
On board the plane, which went missing on Thursday afternoon, were pilots and flight instructors Gerd Govejsek, 63, Walter Aleksandar, 49, Miljenko Bartolic, 61, and Zvonko Kelek, 68.
They all worked for the Ban flying club from Sesvete outside Zagreb.
The plane, owned by the flying club, was flying from Zagreb to the coastal city of Zadar when it crashed on Mt. Velebit.
