Cameras have confirmed that parts of the aircraft found in the sea south off the central Croatian island of Dugi Otok on Saturday belong to the plane that went missing on Friday, the spokeswoman for the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Marina Halužan, told Hina on Sunday.
Divers from Mali Lošinj have been sent to the crash site with an underwater camera and other equipment.
Military ships will also be sent to the crash site to hel p pull out the plane wreck, the spokeswoman said.
The Lufthansa training plane with two people on board disappeared from radar screens at 1230 hrs Friday.
The pilot-instructor, a Croatian national, and a student, an Italian national, were on board the Piper 44 plane.
As soon as the aircraft went off the radar screens, an intensive search was launched.
The Piper 44 plane was one of nine training planes that the German company Lufthansa has stationed in Zadar.
