Rest areas along motorways in Croatia in line with EU standards

Rest areas along motorways in Croatia have received good grades in the Euro Test campaign conducted by the European association of automobile clubs, representatives of the Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) said on Monday presenting the results of the campaign.

This is the first time Croatia has been evaluated as the only non-EU country.

The survey shows that the two tested rest areas are in accordance with EU standards and are even better than rest areas in Italy, said Darko Brozović, deputy head of the Euro Test project in Croatia.

Both rest areas were graded "good", which corresponds with the Croatian grade "very good".

Some of the criteria taken into account in the evaluation of rest areas are the quality of parking places, playgrounds, walking areas, the quality of restaurant services, sanitary facilities, Internet access, accessibility for persons with special needs, prices, etc. (Hina)
