Airports to Introduce Liquid Restriction as of December 15

As of December 15, Croatian airports will impose the protection measure of limiting the amount of liquid passengers may bring into the cabin in their hand luggage, the transport ministry said on Thursday.

The measure will be enforced on international and domestic flights.

Liquids, gels and creams may be brought aboard in bottles, sprays or tubes not exceeding 100 ml and must be placed in a see-through re-sealable plastic bag or a see-through toiletries bag with a volume of up to one liter.

Items bought in duty free shops at Croatian airports or in-flight by passengers on direct flights to the European Union are not subject to this measure.

The measure is part of the European Commission's Regulation 1546/2006, which went into force in the Union on November 6 with a view to protecting passengers traveling by plane.
