Passengers voted Croatia Airlines best regional member of Star Alliance

The Croatian air-carrier Croatia Airlines (CA) was voted best member of the airline alliance Star Alliance according to a poll analyzing the satisfaction of passengers on European flights, reported Srećko Šimunović Executive Vice President of Croatia Airlines.

The passengers chose CA to be the best regional member in that alliance, for the period of the second trimester this year. Other candidates in that poll were the Finish Blue 1, the Spanish Spanair and the Slovenian Adria Airways.

Croatia Airlines received the highest ratings for the services provided during the flight (kind crew, comfortable flight, offers on board of the plane), transfer service (procedure until the final destination), exact take – offs and for the total flight price, said Šimunović.

Croatia Airlines received lower ratings only in the segment 'Star Promise' which refers to the simplification of the travel process. The reason lies in the level of services provided on airports which are still not compatible with the quality of the transport services of the air-carrier, explained Šimunović.

CA used the occasions to introduce a new form of presenting their prices for international flights. The novelty is that the total price of a ticket, from now on, includes airport fees and other amends. An additional payment will be only required for the issuance of air tickets. The goal is to present the passenger with the concrete price avoiding additional unpleasant surprises.

Šimunović also added that the CA special offer includes that all autumn tickets towards European destinations will be available starting from EUR 139. The offer will be valid from November 1st till December 15th, only to be reintroduced from January 10th till the beginning of the summer season.

According to his words, this year's September will be one of the most successful in the company’s history. Numbers confirm the transport of 190 thousand passengers, which is a 4% increase as compared to the same period last year. He also underlined that during this summer the CA planes registered a 74% occupancy.
