Zagreb Airport Registered This Year's 1 Millionth Passenger

The Zagreb Airport registered today its 1 millionth passenger for this year. Plans are that by the end of the current year the number of passengers passing through the Zagreb Airport might even reach 1.7 million.

The 1 millionth passenger, Tomislav Čavlina from Zagreb, was just about to leave for a trip on the route Zagreb – Beč – Stockholm, flying with Austrian Airlines. As the ‘special’ passenger Mr. Čavlina received from the Zagreb Airport a gift voucher in the value of EUR 500, and from Austrian Airlines two business class return tickets towards a destination of his choice.

During the first seven months in 2006, the Zagreb Airport registered a 9% increase in the total passenger traffic as compared to the same period in 2005. The representatives of the Zagreb Airport also underline that such results were achieved thanks to the cooperation of all business partners, especially the support of the national air-carrier Croatia Airlines.

Last year the airport's 1 millionth passenger was registered on 24 August, and in 2005 on 15 September.
