A seasonal train, owned by the German agency DB AutoZug GmbH, completed its first promotional trip from the northern German city of Hamburg to the northern Croatian Adriatic seaport of Rijeka on Monday, carrying about 150 passengers, 40 cars and some 30 motorbikes.
The service, called "Four Countries - One Engine" will be provided this summer by railway companies from Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.
The train traveled across the four countries without changing the engine.
The train is scheduled to depart from Hamburg at 1320 hrs Sundays and arrive in Rijeka at 1137 hrs Mondays. The return trip will be at 1620 hrs Mondays with the arrival in Hamburg scheduled for 14.42 hrs Tuesdays.
A return ticket for a car and two passengers will be around 600 euros.(Hina)
