The Prime Minister Ivo Sanader had a meeting with the County Prefect of the Primorje – Gorski Kotar County Zlatko Komadina, discussing projects for the development of the city of Rijeka, its county and the whole of Croatia.
The PM pointed out that the city of Rijeka and its county were very important to the Government, and that they would continue to work an all the arranged projects.
At the same time he announced that the Croatian Government would form, on this weeks' session, several committees with precise tasks and clearly set target-dates.
Those Government appointed committees will have to solve questions related to the privatization processes of the hotel company 'Liburnia', the hotel company 'Jadran', 'Imperijal Rab', the building of the LNG terminal, the modernization of the refinery and the ongoing development of the Port Rijeka.
They also agreed on organizing a meeting at the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development with the representatives of the Primorje – Gorski Kotar County in order to discuss the future development of infrastructural projects in that area.
The PM and Komadina underlined that the discussed projects were very important and that they would speed up the economic development of the Primorje – Gorski Kotar County and of Croatia, in general.
The PM also announced that those committees would be put together from representatives of the Government, the Primorje – Gorski Kotar County, the units of local self-government and environmental groups.
