New transport rates on the maritime traffic lines in the Adriatic Sea will come into force on March 22 2010, but only on the ferry and boat lines that are maintained by the national shipping company "Jadrolinija", and these price raise will be significantly lower than those that speculated in the public, and on the ferry lines the prices will be up to 3%, according to the Agency for the Coastal Maritime Traffic Lines.
Furthermore, the Governing Council of the Agency accepted the request from the "Jadrolinija" and gave approval to the off-rates for the transportation of the passengers and the vehicles at a Council session, today in Zagreb, and these tariffs will apply from the March 22nd to the May 31st 2010, and those decissions will also apply to the seasonal tariffs for the period from the June 1st to the September 30th 2010.
These price increases applies to the regular passengers and vehicle, explains the Agency, and will be also applied for the islanders who enjoy privileges in transit, the increased rates will apply from the March 22nd to the December 31st 2010. This means that for the islanders will be no more seasonal price increases.
From the Agency pointed out that prices are determined for each line separately, rather than linear, but emphasize that the total off-ferry tariff increase will be greater than 3%. Thus, in off-seasonal traffic the prices will not be changed on the ferrie lines Brestova-Porozina, Valbiska-Merag, Prizna-Zigljen and Prapratno-Sobra, and on the seven lines the inflation will be between 3-4%, and on seven lines only the increase will be between 7-9%.
Thus, the passangers on the ferry line for the Supetar will travel for the price of the 27 HRK instead of paying 28 HRK, and the price for the transportation of the vehicles for up to the 5 meters in long on the ferry lines are increased from 126 to 130 HRK. At the same transportation line Zadar-Preko fare for the passengers is not increased, and the price for the transportation of the vehicles have increased from 79 to 86 HRK. Neither the line Split-Vis transportation of the passengers is not increased, and the price for the transportatons of the vehicles on this ferry line will rise from 296 to 308 HRK.
Island transportation ticket on the ferry lines inflation is very modest, and for the passengers and for the vehicles, and from the Agency's said to be actually a rise in prices of a few HRK. Thus, for example, the ferry line Biograd-Tkon ticket for islanders will be raised from 4.50 up to 6 HRK, and the ticket on the ferry lines Drvenik-Sucuraj, Prizna-Zigljen and Orebic-Domince islanders will pay 7 HRK, instead of the 5.50 HRK as for now.
At the session is particularly emphasized that the prices of the transportation of the vehicles for the island population (cars with vignette) after this rise in prices of up to 20 percent lower than they were until 2004. year.
