More cruisers visit Croatian Adriatic

The number of cruisers in the Adriatic is increasing, as is the number of cruiser passengers. According to the latest figures released by the Central Bureau of Statistics, in this year's first six months 290 foreign cruisers visited the Croatian Adriatic Sea, which is 33.6 percent or 73 cruisers more than in the same period last year.

Those ships carried 322,200 tourists or 47.5 percent more than in the first six months of 2007.
This year"s cruiser passengers realized 652 days of residence, which is an increase by 76 % as compared to the same period in 2007.

Further data provided by the Central Bureau of Statistics show that foreign cruisers visited 18 Croatia ports, with Dubrovnik and Split recording the highest number of visits.
