During his visit to the Zadar County, PM Ivo Sanader used the opportunity to attend the opening of the construction works for the ferry berth in Mala Rava on the island of Rava.
“This visit shows how much we care for the Croatian islands. To build infrastructure on islands is the only way to motivate entrepreneurs to invest into those areas and to finally stop further emigration from the islands,” said PM Sanader.
By congratulating the islanders for being brave enough to keep on living on their island under conditions which are not always easy, the PM quoted an old Rava saying: “Who has not seen the island of Rava, has not seen the world!”
The Minister of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development Božidar Kalmeta pointed out that the current government has already invested HRK 1 billion, built and reconstructed 43 ferry berths and as many school objects.
