In 2005, Croatian nautical ports registered a total income of HRK 368.1 million. Compared to 2004, this stands for an income increase by 16.2%.
Towards the end of last year, the nautical ports hosted 13.285 vessels, which is a 3.7% increase as compared to the end of 2004.
The survey included 84 nautical ports along the Croatian coast, counting 50 marinas and 36 other types of ports for nautical tourism. The total area of their aquatorium covers 3.9 m2 and the number of berths amounts up to 15.058.
According to the type of vessel placed on the berths, 35.6% were motor yachts, 57.3% sailing boats and 7.1% other types of vessels.
Most of the vessels came from Croatia (31.4%), Austria (21.2%), Germany (19.1%), the USA (5.8%), Slovenia (5.5%) and Italy (4.1%).
The number of vessels which were only in transit in 2005 mounts up to 199.499 which is a 0.7% increase as compared to 2004.
Most of those vessels in transit were motor yachts (37.2%) and sailing boats (60.5%).
The vessels which were in transit were mainly Croatian, Italian, German and Austrian.
