The shipyard for naval and special vessels 'Brodosplit – Brodogradilište Specijalnih objekata, d.o.o.' delivered today to the Split Port Authority the newly built search and rescue vessel 'Marjan Tri', in the value of EUR 670 000. The investor was the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development.
The vessel is a type of a skimming boat, with a cargo deck on the stern, for the transport of load and fire-extinguishing equipment. Besides the task of search and rescue, the boat is being used for the control of navigation in the economic zone.
The boat is 14.5 meters long, with a breadth of five meters, and max speed of 26 knots. It has a capacity to carry two crew members and 12 passengers.
This is the third consecutive vessel being built for the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development, for the needs of port authorities. (Hina)
