The Croatian government decided on Thursday to endorse state aid for the HZ Cargo company in the form of a 50 million kuna loan, which should be repaid in the period of six months at the interest rate of 1% per annum.
Transport and Infrastructure Minister Oleg Butkovic informed the government that the HZ Cargo company had contacted his ministry asking for assistance to improve its poor liquidity.
Butkovic said that the decision on this state aid was in line with the guidelines on state aid for rehabilitation and restructuring pf non-financial enterprises in distress.
He said that the HZ Cargo was already carrying out measures for its financial consolidation and cost-saving.
