Upgrade of Klenovica seaport underway

An agreement on the second HRK 16 million stage of the upgrade of the Klenovica seaport was signed on Monday in that town 50 kilometres east of Rijeka.

The agreement, signed by Transport and Infrastructure Minister Oleg Butkovic and local authorities, envisages the construction of a new seawall and the enhancement of the current port compounds.

The ministry will provide HRK 14 million of that HRK16 million and Primorje-Gorski Kotar County will set aside 2 million kuna for the project.

After a breakwater was constructed in the first stage of the upgrade, a 56-metre-long seawall plus a 58-metre extension of the dock for fishing vessels will now be built.
