Transport and Infrastructure Minister Sinisa Hajdas Doncic on Monday visited Osijek Airport and a recently renovated local road leading to the airport, expressing satisfaction with the performance of the airport in the biggest eastern Croatian city.
In the first ten months this year, 27,000 passengers were handled by the airport, including 18,000 on international flights between Osijek and London. This year the airport is likely to reach record high figures in the last 30 years.
It plans to introduce direct flights to Vienna, Munich, Zurich and Frankfurt in 2015.
