The MSC Divina cruiser carrying 3,400 passengers docked at Dubrovnik Gruz port which is the first to open this year's cruiser arrivals.
The MSC shipping company whose cruisers docked in Dubrovnik twice a week last year announced three ships a week this season which means an average of 11,000 visitors a week.
The Dubrovnik tourism board had reported that they expected a 30% increase in the number of tourists from 1 May to 1 November this year visiting the city on board cruiser liners.
Last year 648 ships berthed in Dubrovnik as a stopover on round trips with a little more than a million passengers.
