With its entry into the European Union, set for 1 July, Croatia will start applying European Commission (EC) regulations relating to mobile roaming, which will result in lower costs for mobile telephoning of visiting foreign tourists in Croatia and also Croatians travelling to EU member-states will pay lower tariffs for calls inside the EU, the Croatian Post and Electronic Communications Agency (HAKOM) reported on Tuesday.
The Croatian agency reports that Croatia will start implementing the current EU regulation in force: "Regulation (EU) No 531/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 June 2012 on roaming on public mobile communications networks within the Union".
Prices within this regulation are sometimes referred to as the Eurotariff.
