Zagreb Boat Show opens

 

Zagreb, February 22 2012 - Capt. Nikola Mendrila, Assistant Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure officially opened the 21st Boat Show at the Zagreb FairThe 21st International Boat Show opened in Zagreb on Wednesday, attracting 290 domestic and foreign exhibitors from 27 countries.

The show was opened by the Assistant Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Capt. Nikola Mendrila, who said that where was a growing interest in all types of nautical tourism.

Last year 60,000 foreign vessels visited Croatia, a 3% increase over the previous year, and they carried 322,000 people, or 5% more than in 2010; 1,583 charter firms were registered in Croatia in 2011 and over 340,000 charter tourists visited Croatian marinas, up 4.5%, he said.

Capt. Mendrila said that there would be no changes this year to regulations concerning boat tourism nor would there be any tax increases.

The show closes on February 26.
