Croatia Boat Show opens in Split

 

Split, April 12. 2011 - capt. Mario Babic, state secretary for the Sea with Zeljko Kerum, SplitThe Croatia Boat Show opened in the southern city of Split on Tuesday.

Due to the current crisis, this year's Croatia Boat Show, the 13th of the kind, has seen a 20 percent decline in the number of participants as against 2010 and a 50 percent decline compared with 2008.

Opening the fair, a state secretary at the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, capt. Mario Babic, dismissed criticism that the government was neglecting this part of the industry.

The Croatia Boat Show is the largest regional event of this kind and stage of the local and international nautical industry, from yacht builders to engines and equipment producers, as well as companies offering various complementary goods and services to fans of the sea and sailing.
