World Bank delegation in Port of Rijeka

New World Bank Regional Director for Central Europe and Baltic countries, Peter Harrold and his associates met with representatives of the Rijeka Port Authority, who presented plans for the development and modernization of the Rijeka port area and the level of implementation of the Rijeka Gateway Project.

Rijeka Gateway Project is about to modernize the port of Rijeka and traffic access routes wich will be finnanced by the loan of the World Bank.

This allows the port of Rijeka to achieve sufficient levels of competitiveness and attractiveness of the significant increase in traffic. On the other hand, some of the current port area and the plant will be converted to urban, tourism and city-oriented content.

A tour of the newly built area of maritime passenger terminal at the main pier port of Rijeka have been organized by the Rijeka Port authorities, announced the marketing of the Port Authority.
