Work begins on second stage of Zabok-Marija Bistrica road
Work began on Wednesday on the second stage of a road between Zabok and Marija Bistrica, with a connection to Breznicki Hum, an important road that will connect two international motorways -- one connecting Zagreb with Vienna and the other running from Zagreb to Budapest.
The second stage covers construction of a 5.3-km-long section from Andrasevec to Bedekovcina. The contract value of the work at this stage is 79 million kuna, exclusive of Value Added Tax, while inspection will cost 3.9 million kuna, exclusive of VAT. The work is to be completed by October 2016.
The road from Zabok to Breznicki Hum will be 59 kilometres long.
The opening of the construction work was attended by Transport Minister Sinisa Hajdas Doncic.
