Vukovar: Investment in the Vukovar-Srijem road construction

Building a fast road Vukovar-Vinkovci-Zupanja the Vinkovci and Vukovar city ring road and cross-border road Ilok-Lipovac are priorities of the County Government in the road construction in the next few years, said the Prefect of Bozo Galic at a meeting with members of the administration Croatian Roads (HC), with the head of HC CEO Jakov Kresic.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the mayors of three cities mentioned Zeljko Sabo, Mladen Karlić and Davor Milicevic and president of the county government for roads Senko Bosnjak prepared and provided multimedia projects.

"We will do everything as well as to prepare all necessary project documentation and other construction, including building permits for the next three years" Kresic the CEO of HC also told to the reporters before the meeting that HC will try to build most of the fast road Vukovar-Vinkovci-Zupanja with planned bypasses and connection roads from Ilok to Lipovac and it would be financed form HC's budget, and possible differences in the cost of money will be co-financed out from EU funds.

In his words, only the construction of the fast road to Vukovar, Vinkovci over Zupanja will cost about 250 million. He also announced that the HC administration's "do everything" to make possibile this year begining of the construction of individual stocks because it is, as explained, the state's interest.

In the road construction in the Vukovar-Srijem County over the past four years is invested form 150 to 200 million HRK, said Kresic.
