Travellers flying out of Croatia and changing planes at airports in EU countries and Switzerland will be allowed to take liquids aboard aircraft as of Wednesday 20 August when a European Commission regulation goes into force, the Croatian Transport Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.

The regulation applies to the airports at Dubrovnik, Rijeka, Pula, Split, Zadar and Zagreb. The fluids include drinks, oils, lotions, gels, deodorants, perfumes and similar items which must be purchased in duty-free shops at the said airports and packed in a sealed transparent plastic bag.
