Transport Minister talks road infrastructure projects with Split officials
Butkovic and his interlocutors: Split Mayor, Andro Krstulovic Opara and County Prefect, Blazenko Boban as well as executives of road authorities and HZ Railways, concluded that most projects are entering their final stages, city authorities said.
At a government meeting in Split in May 2018 several road upgrade projects for the city and county were approved. These are projects valued at more than HRK 5.8 billion and on the most part involve road and railway connectivity, city authorities recalled.
Minister Butkovic expressed his satisfaction that the projects had continued despite the coronavirus pandemic while Mayor Krstulovic Opara underlined that the projects were entering their final stages.
All these projects will contribute to resolving traffic bottle necks at entrances to Split and downtown.
President of the management board of HZ Infrastruktura, Ivan Krsic informed of projects to reconstruct the railway stations in Split, Solin and Kastela as well as of the status of a project for an underground station in downtown Split.
Before Split, the minister also visited the Dalmatian city of Sibenk for the talks on the local transport projects.
