Three Croats die in plane crash near Bratislava

Three men died in the crash of a Croatian plane near the Slovakian capital Bratislava on Monday morning, the Croatian Ministry of Transport said in a statement.

The plane, a Cessna T 300 owned by Zagreb retail chain Getro, hit the ground while approaching the landing strip at Bratislava airport. The accident occurred about one kilometre from the airport at 9.27 hours.

The cause of the accident was being investigated.

The plane was flying from Zagreb to Bratislava for regular servicing.

The ministry did not reveal the names of the people killed.
