Three bids for construction of Peljesac Bridge

 

The Croatian road construction and maintenance company Hrvatske Ceste has received three bids for the construction of a bridge between the southern peninsula of Peljesac and the mainland, the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development said on Wednesday.

Bids were submitted by two consortiums a domestic one consisting of Konstruktor Inzenjering, Viadukt and Hidroelektra and a consortium of European construction companies Dywidag of Germany, Strabag of Austria, Cimola of Italy and Eiffel of France as well as by the Austrian company Alpina Bau.

The best bidder is expected to be chosen in the next 15 to 20 days, and should there be no complaints, construction work would start in the autumn.
