Third Global Conference on Oceans, Coasts, and Islands

The 3rd Global Conference on Oceans, Coasts, and Islands: Moving the Global Oceans Agenda Forward, starts today and closes on 28 January in Paris.

The Croatian delegation will be headed by Zoran Šikić, Assistant Minister and Chief of Conservation at the Ministry of Culture, The Croatian delegation will actively participate by giving a presentation on Regional Dialogue and Cooperation: Mediterranean Case.

This Conference will gather officials from member countries, regional organizations, UN agencies, donators, non- government organizations and scientists which will judge the recent progress and discuss problems they had to face in the realization of international goals for oceans, coasts and small island countries, especially those linked to the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD), Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and other similar agreements.
