The take over of the "Verige" tanker
Shipyard "3. Maj" and "Uljanik plovidba" reached and confirmed the final Agreement to take over the "Verige" tanker by it's owner, the International Company "Uljanik polovidba", in behalf of their account and credibilities, announced the company at the Zagreb Stock Exchange in their official statement.
The Agreement provides prompt handover of the ship agreed for the March 9th this year. Immediately upon the taking of the "Verige" tanker intended for transportation of petroleum products and chemicals, this ship will be engaged in the commercial exploitation, the Company said in it's statement.
The shpi building of the "Verige" tanker was agreed several years ago in the current rates et that time period, while in the meantime the prices have fallen because of the global crisis that has hit companies and reduce the cost of ships, and also, the handover of the "Verige" tanker between "3. Maj" shipyard and "Uljanik plovidba" shipment company did not passed smoothly.
"3. Maj" shipyard has problems with delivering the car-carrier "Monte Carlo", wuch is the 3rd boat that "3. May" failed to deliver to the it's client, and according to the unofficial informations, the shipyard is trying to sell that ship to China.
"Uljanik plovidba", the shipment company that was also present at the Zagreb Stock Exchange, has confirmed that late last week, gained 250 of its own shares, and after this acquisition, the total number of the treasury shares amounts to 35,631, wich representing 6.14% of the total share capital.
