Sports & Boat Fair 24 to 28 February at the ZV

At the Zagreb Fair (Zagrebacki Velesajam) 24 to 28 February 2010 will be held the 19th International Fair of Sport & sailing, in which will be placed the exhibition area of 15 thousand square meters to present more than 400 exhibitors from 32 countries, as announced at today's press conference at the Zagreb Fair.

Decrease in the number of exhibitors compared to last year, when there were 576 exhibitors, in Zagreb Fair explained as a consequence of the economic crisis, and a note that Croatia has five nautical fairs a year, which is too many.

Fair of Sport & sailing during the five days duration will bring together the most prominent producers and representatives of world brands of sports and nautical equipment and products.

Trough the fair's programmes will be held a series of presentations, symposiums and lectures. It will also be held a small meeting of the Association of Naval Architecture in the word based on the project of the loan for small shipbuilding, wich programmes, that are intended for small and medium businesses, will be financed by the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR).

During the this year's Fair will be awarded prizes and awards for the exhibitors who accopmlishes a high level of total performance, a fair sailing & Sport will, as announced by the Minister of open sea, transport and infrastructure, BOZIDAR KALMETA.

Asked what the future of fairs at all, but also what is the fate of the Zagreb Fair, Director of Sector fairs Vesna Cvitanovic said that in 2010th the Zagreb Fair began very complex, in the period of interference of two negative torques - the cancellation of Zagreb Auto Show Faire, and a fire which broke out in the 12th pavilion.

The fire, she said, caused great damage, but intensively working on how to find alternative - promisses. I still do not know what is the extent of the damage, the investigation will last for some 14 days, after which the Zagreb Holding is going to decide whether to repair or reconstruct the pavilion, Cvitaniovic said.

As she was asked about the Auto Show Fair in Zagreb she said that she hope that ZF will try to prepare a new event instead the Auto Show - Auto Moto Market, the fair of the sale-character in the term wich was reserved for the Zagreb Auto Show.
