The Slovenian Government proposed to its Parliament a multilateral agreement on establishing a joint European Civil Air Traffic Area (ECAA) which would include the countries of the West Balkans.

The Agreement foresees the possibility for a temporary usage of a multilateral agreement between Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, the EU, Island, Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Montenegro, Romania and the UN Mission stationed in Kosovo, which would motivate eight countries of the West Balkans to participate in the common European air traffic aria.

Slovenia supports the temporary implementation of that Agreement which would lead to the gradual introduction of a European legislation for the aria of air traffic, also leading to a gradual opening of the West Balkan market.
