SEETAC first Ministerial Conference in Bucharest

The first Ministerial Conference SEETAC's (South East European Transport Axis Cooperation) will be held on 3rd and 4th February 2010 in Bucharest, Romania. The conference is expected the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the countries involved in the project SEETAC, namely Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Republic of Macedonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia.

Other partners of the project SEETAC the EURAC, SEETO, Informest, Italian Ministry of the Sea, the environment and protect the country, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Central European Initiative.

At the Conference will be talking about the pan-European corridors, bottlenecks, cross-border problems, the development of markets, traffic studies, and new investment plans. It is expected that the meeting agreed development guidelines SEETAC project.

SEETAC project is financed by the European Union through a Program of Cooperation in Southeast Europe. The aim is to establish and implement effective and coordinated framework of transport axis of Southeast Europe, and the promotion of institutional cooperation between pan-European corridors and member states in order to achieve transparency and reliability of information, coordinated and effective institutional framework and rapid implementation of priority transport projects.

The project officially began on April 1st 2009, and will last until March 31st 2012.
