The Supervisory Bord of 'Plovput' presided by Captain Tomislav Miletić, Assistant Minister for Seafaring Safety and Sea Protection, passed on Friday a decision regarding the fees for using objects of seafaring safety in internal sea waters  and the territorial waters sea. Based on that decision the fees were corrected to their former amounts.

In November, the 'Plovput' Board had passed a new tariff regulation, promoting higher fees starting from 1 January 2006.

Since the increase of that fee, for certain vessels would cause a disproportionate growth of the fee one has to pay for the usage of signal stations (lighthouses) and coasting lights, the Board decided to recall its decision on 9 December 2005.

The 'Plovput' Supervisory Board also entrusted the 'Plovput' Management Board with the drafting of a new proposal concerning the fee for the usage of seafaring safety objects, along with a previous analysis of cost effects caused by a price increase within singular vessel categories.
