Today, the Osijek Airport introduced its first regular international line towards the German cities of Köln and Bonn.

Planes will fly on the mentioned route two times per week and the tickets are available to be booked and bought via the Internet (started in December 2007) for a starting amount of EUR 19 per one direction.

On today’s special occasion the Assistant of the Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Damir Vince, pointed out that the establishing of regular international lines represented a big step forward for that airport and that it was also very important for the future development of the region’s air – transport.

The Osijek Airport, due to the devastation caused by the recent war, was not completely operable, but it can always rely on the support of the Government and the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Vince said.

It was also stated that new international lines would soon be introduced, one of it including the city of Stuttgart. The cooperation with the Russian company “Aerflot Cargo” is planned to start by the end of this or beginning of next month.
