Only one valid offer has been submitted in a tender for the construction of two nautical ports on the island Sv. Katarina-Monumenti - that of the Kermas Vod Cetiri d.o.o. company, owned by Danko Koncar, with headquarters in Vodnjan.

An offer was also submitted by the Zagreb-based company Stangl Consult Gmbh c/o Revivisco d.o.o., however, it was incomplete and was therefore not considered.

The bids were opened publicly on Monday by a commission of the Croatian Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure at the headquarters of the Brijuni Rivijera company in the northern Adriatic town of Pula.

The offers refer to the awarding of a concession to build and operate in the coastal belt two ports with a special purpose - the nautical port Sveta Katarina and Port 2, at the location of the Brijuni-Rivijera development programme Sv. Katarina-Monumenti.

Over the next four years, the Kermas Vod Cetiri d.o.o. company plans to invest EUR 29.97 million in the two marinas and another EUR 16 million in a hotel and other tourist facilities, which would create about 160 new jobs. The company has offered a permanent concession fee of HRK 2.2 per square metre with a floating fee amounting to 2.1 percent of the overall annual income.
